Our academic approach is designed to challenge and engage students, and help them develop critical thinking skills. Our approach to learning aims to provide students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for excellence in both their academic and personal lives. We offer a well-rounded curriculum that includes traditional subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Tamil, Hindi and French. Besides the main subjects, many other subjects like Moral Science, Value Education, Art, Craft, Environmental Studies, PT & Music find a place in their regular timetable. St. Thomas believes in holistic development of the students by providing them with opportunities to develop their academic, emotional, social, and cognitive skills.

In our endeavour to stay updated in our teaching methods and approaches, over the last five decades, St. Thomas has progressively adopted and introduced various techniques to ensure our students relevant to the times they are in. We have incorporated digital learning into our curriculum via smart boards in the classrooms. These interactive board display digital content, such as videos, images, and interactive software, directly to the students, enhancing the classroom learning experience and enabling more engaging classroom activities. We have introduced AI & Robotics courses to provide a digital platform for our students, giving them an insight into the future of technology and tap their hidden potential. All the teachers are trained in using the smart boards effectively, so that technology is integrated seamlessly into the existing curriculum. We are able to offer a dynamic and interactive learning environment for the students, being in the centre of the digital age.
Regular assessments are conducted through the year to monitor the progress of the students and identify areas where they need additional support. In order to train and equip the higher secondary students to face their Board Exams, we have designed periodic strategic tests, coaching classes, exam pattern. Coaching classes are also given to students who need additional support in improving their academics.

BLOSSOMS
Pre school & Kindergarten
Blossoms Pre-school & Nursery is the Kindergarten section of St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Equipped with air-conditioned classrooms, engaging and interactive spaces, we have created an engaging learning environment for their children focussing on holistic development in their formative years.
STD I to X
We are a Matriculation School and follow the Samacheer Kalvi Syllabus of Tamil Nadu. As per this system, a continuous assessment based on slip tests, exams, projects, activities, values, sports will be recorded and graded accordingly.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation
The Trimester System and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation system is followed in the school. This includes Scholastic Assessment based on Formative (Classroom Assessment) and Summative Assessment (Formal Exams) Co-Scholastic areas include life skills, attitudes, value system, physical exercise & extra-curricular activities.
